Tour Sustainable Family Farms on 23rd Annual Piedmont Farm Tour.
The 23rd Annual Piedmont Farm Tour, co-sponsored by the Carolina Farm Stewardship Association and Weaver Street Market announce the nation’s oldest sustainable farm tour, Saturday and Sunday, April 28th and 29th, from 12– 6 pm each day. The Piedmont Farm Tour connects our friends, neighbors and customers to 45 local farmers and farm sites in Alamance, Chatham, Orange, and Person counties including pasture-raised livestock farms, baby animals (yes, baby animals!), fiber demonstrations, hayrides, farm equipment on display, an award-winning cheese dairy, locally grown and fermented pickles, newly established orchards, food trucks, locally grown hops, a farm with a brewery on site, and lots of organically grown produce farms.

Farm Store Spring Cleaning Sale

Are you a fan of our farm store? Did you even know we have a farm store? Well, now is your chance to try our meat and poultry with a big spring cleaning sale! Join us Saturday, March 24th. We are offering bargains on items we are overstocked on, a chance to talk to local vegetable growers about their spring offerings and learn how to buy our passionately pastured products every day with the click of a button and have the items ready for pickup at the cafe. 

On sale are our St. Louis ribs, beef marrow bones, breakfast sausage and much more, with 15-50% OFF! Joining us will also be some of our local vegetable farmers with information on how to join their CSAs and purchase their nutrient-dense vegetables. The kitchen will be cooking up some of our amazing pork ribs on special along with all the cafe's usual farm-fresh fare.

The Chef is The Farmer

Rose veal done right.
On a special night in January, we are taking the meal all the way from the farm to plate by the same hands. Suzanne Nelson Karreman, owner and mother hen of Reverence Farms, prepares and serves a meal centered around a veal calf that she raised -- whose mother was the first calf born on her original homestead. This isn’t your typical veal. Quite the opposite, our veal calves spend their whole lives running with the cow herd, drinking all the whole milk they can from mama cows, having a socially normal bovine existence, and growing almost as big as their dams. Rose veal done in this manner is the only way to close the loop and make dairy sustainable and humane for farmer and animal alike. This is food as celebration of life, of knowing everything that went into getting meat on a plate and with reverence for every aspect of it. Please join us. Join us at the cafe Tuesday, MAY 16th at 6pm to meet Suzanne Nelson Karreman, owner and mother hen of Reverence Farms. 
Learn what farm-to-table is really all about and our practices and ideals from our farm with a table to share. Shortly after Suzanne speaks there will be time for Q&A.
Come in and order from our extensive menu that includes many of the meats raised on our own farm.

On February 11th & 14th we had our first events at the Café with a four course plated dinner paired with beer and wine. All our guests left with a smile and satisfied appetite. Both nights were truly amazing with love being shared with all.
